Southwest Minneapolis Home
This was a fun and challenging commission: a home the clients had lived in years previous before moving south. The house itself hadn't changed much but the front yard had in subtle ways (especially the foliage). I had to compare older photos the clients supplied with newer ones I took myself. In addition, they were creative yard decorators extraordinaire (their yard was featured in the local newspaper) so I played with perspective and proportion in order to get all the fun details into the painting.
Those leaves were done one-by-one! 😬😅
