Otter's Saloon
Otter's Saloon, one of several bars in my northeast neighborhood that lays claim to the title "Minneapolis' best karaoke" - Seven nights a week! Previously it had the pun-filled name of the "U Otter Stop Inn", a renaming that gives me melancholy. The building is rather unique for Minneapolis architecture in that it is located at the intersection of two diagonally meeting streets, giving it a very very narrow wedge-shaped floor plan. I tried to capture that in this drawing. I always think of Otter's as our city's mini tribute to Manhattan's Flatiron Building.
