Stone Arch Bridge
Often when I'm standing on the St Anthony Falls Lock and Dam I will look east for one of my favorite views of the Stone Arch Bridge. Built in 1883 by railroad tycoon James J Hill for his Great Northern Railway, it brought his trains from the east over the Mississippi and into the Minneapolis train depot which was located on the west bank of the river. It's the only arched bridge made of stone on the entire Mississippi river. Currently it's a pedestrian and bicycle bridge, one of the most popular sightseeing locations on the Minneapolis riverfront because of its expansive views of the Mississippi river and the St Anthony Falls.
Obviously, many a selfie is taken here. I'm sure I've never done that 😉
