The C.C. Club
Oh man, back in the 80s and 90s I was a frequent patron of the CC Club. Most of my memories are hazy, both because of many beers 🍻 and the cigarette smoke inside. We usually sat in the round booths near the front so I was astounded when I returned after the 2007 indoor smoking ban to find there was a whole area in back with pinball machines and pool tables – I had no idea because back in the day I couldn't see back that far through the thick smog!
BTW: the "CC" stands for Clarence Campbell, the first to turn the building to turn it into a bar in 1933. Originally named the CC Tavern, it also became the CC Tap before settling into the CC Club in the 70s.
