The C.C. Club
Oh man, back in the 80s and 90s I was a frequent patron of the CC Club. Most of my memories are hazy, both because of many beers ð» and the cigarette smoke inside. We usually sat in the round booths near the front so I was astounded when I returned after the 2007 indoor smoking ban to find there was a whole area in back with pinball machines and pool tables â I had no idea because back in the day I couldn't see back that far through the thick smog!
BTW: the "CC" stands for Clarence Campbell, the first to turn the building to turn it into a bar in 1933. Originally named the CC Tavern, it also became the CC Tap before settling into the CC Club in the 70s.
